Robert Brandan Martinez is an artist born and raised in Tempe, Arizona. He graduated in 2011 with BFA in photography from Arizona State University. Robert’s work is in personal collections and has been displayed in various galleries both nationally and internationally. His Rio de Janeiro project has earned him a Professional Development Grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts to attend the Society of Photographic Education National conference 2011 in Atlanta. Robert also received a travel grant in 2011 from the Ted Decker Catalyst Fund to return to Rio de Janeiro. In 2012 Robert was profiled on the Phoenix New Times 100 Creatives in Phoenix as #15. Robert splits his time between Arizona and Rio de Janeiro, where he has been working on his most current project since 2010. His work focuses on life, communities, and the human experience.
